BBEdit 4.0.3 Update - Another bucketful of bug fixes for this Swiss-Army knife of text editors.
	BeyondMail Personal Edition - Not content with Eudora or Emailer ? If you're looking for a new e-mail program, this is the latest addition to the market. Watch out, though - Claris Emailer 2.0 is just about to go Beta.
	Claris Emailer 2.0 Beta - Claris have just released their first public beta of the forthcoming Emailer version 2.0. It features a new method of storing e-mail which is incompatible with previous versions, so be sure to read the conversion instructions.
	Cyberdog 1.2.1 - If you're not too keen on the 2.0 Beta version, this is the latest final-release version of Apple's Internet tools, as shipping with Mac OS 7.6. If you're used to Netscape and Internet Explorer, it may be disappointing as it doesn't support Frames. Requires OpenDoc 1.1 and a PowerPC. The 68K version is still being withheld until the CFM-68K bug is fixed, which will happen in the next couple of months.
	Cyberdog 2.0 Beta 1 - Just out of Alpha, this Beta version should provide a better idea of what Cyberdog 2 will be like. Perhaps most notable are support for Frames and animated GIFs. Requires OpenDoc 1.1. The 68K version is available for testing purposes despite the CFM-68K bug which is yet to be fixed. As always, use at your own risk.
	GraphicConverter 2.7 - It converts virtually every bitmap graphic format known to the computer world. This is the latest and greatest update. Try it.
	Infini-D 3.5.1 Update - A slew of bug fixes for Specular Infini-D 3.5.
	Kali 1.0 Beta 6 - This fools network games into allowing you to play against people over the Internet.
	Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0a - Bug fix release of IE3 for PowerPC Macs only. Still no sign of IE3 for 68K Macs.
	Microsoft FrontPage 1.0 Beta 3 - This is Microsoft's first entry into web authoring on the Mac. However, it would seem they have arrived late again, as Adobe PageMill 2, SiteMill 2 and Claris HomePage 2 have already established a thriving market. With other strong contenders like NetObjects Fusion on the scene, what can FrontPage offer ? This beta gives you the opportunity to find out for yourself.
	Netscape Communicator 4.0 Beta 2 - One of the most anticipated software applications on the Net, this is the first public beta of Navigator 3's successor. Personally, I think that Netscape have completely lost it. The graphic "style" has suddenly become horrendous, and blatantly copying Internet Explorer's configurable toolbars wasn't too clever. Furthermore, incomplete JavaScript (hello status bars?) and jarred page layout force me to say "no thanks" for now.
	Now Startup Manager 7.5 Beta - For serious control freaks, this will be the next version of Now Software's commercial startup management software. Pitched as an alternative to Apple's Extensions Manager, and the commercial product Conflict Catcher, this is being offered as a public beta pre-release.
	Now Utilities 6.7 Beta - Simultaneously released with the public beta of Now Startup Manager 7.5, this is a pre-release of the commercial offering. Gadgets and add-ons galore.
	OpenDoc 1.1.2 - Latest version of the component-ware document-centric architecture, as shipping with Mac OS 7.6. For Power Macs only, as the CFM-68K bug fix has yet to surface for 68K users. Stay tuned.
	RealPlayer 4.0 Beta 1 - The RealAudio format continues to develop, and has now progressed into the video domain, with the player being re-dubbed "RealPlayer". It incorporates streaming audio and video, with an impressive number of media companies already backing the new RealVideo format. Although you need a good fast connection, it's worth trying out even if just to see the mangled bits of video coming over the net.
	SoundEdit 16 v2.0.4 Update - This latest update of Macromedia's sound editing application provides additional functionality when used with the SoundEdit Streaming Audio Toolkit, available as a separate download (featured below).
	SoundEdit Streaming Audio Toolkit - Xtras for SoundEdit 16 version 2 that let you export sound as Shockwave Streaming Audio (SWA) files for the Web. Download the SoundEdit 16 v2.0.4 Update, and you can automate the process too.
	Symantec Café 1.5 Beta 1 - Public beta of Symantec's commercial Java authoring tools. Watch out - the full install is more than 40 megs. Outrageous Splash-screen of the Month Award-winner.
