About BDA

BDA Overview

BDA (China) Limited ("BDA") is a consultancy and research firm focusing exclusively on the telecoms and Internet sectors in China. BDA has offices in Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai. For details on how to contact us, see our Contact page.

BDA's goal is to be the leading provider of accurate and impartial intelligence, analysis, and advice to clients working in the telecommunications and Internet sectors in China.

BDA was founded in 1994 and enjoys long-standing relationships with leading telecoms service providers, equipment vendors, investment banks, venture capital firms, consultancies, Internet start-ups and other companies. In China, BDA maintains regular contact at working and senior levels with key regulatory and company officials in entities including, but not limited to, the Ministry of Information Industry, State Development and Planning Commission, China Telecom, China Telecom (Hong Kong), selected Provincial Telecom Administrations and China Unicom. In addition, we maintain an in-house library of statistics, company reports, and market intelligence.

Consulting Services

BDA provides consulting services in three areas:

• Market intelligence: market statistics, industry trends, competitive intelligence, market research
• Regulatory analysis: regulatory players, standards issues, key regulatory developments
• Strategic advice: market entry and positioning strategies, partner searches, due diligence, preliminary feasibility studies

Consulting services may be rendered on a retainer basis, on a project basis, or through our Hourly Consulting Service.

• Single-client commissioned reports or briefings
• Monthly, quarterly, or annual client briefings on market and regulatory developments

Company Representation Services

• In-country representation services for carriers and vendors

Services include facilitation of bilateral carrier/roaming agreements with China.

Investment Advisory Services

Urban areas and wealthier provinces are adding new subscribers and implementing new technologies at an unprecedented speed, while rural and remote areas lag significantly.
